Queen of Apostles Outside School Hours Care has been operating for many years supporting the needs of families within the community. We offer before school care at our Thuruna Street Campus and a bus is provided to take the children across to the Early Years Campus located in Chuter Street. After school care is provided at both Thuruna Street and Chuter Street sites.

We are proudly supported by the Our Lady Queen of Apostles Parish and have a caring and dedicated team of educators across both campuses. We provide programs and resources that actively promote the acceptance and inclusion of children of diverse ages, abilities, interests, family structures and cultural heritage. We aim to promote children’s growth, wellbeing, learning and development through our holistic approach.

We strive to foster and maintain positive, respectful and compassionate partnerships with our community through collaboration and sharing a common vision for the children.

At our centres we see children as capable and competent citizens. We strive to create an environment where they can develop a positive sense of identity and self-worth by providing opportunities for discovery, exploration and creation.

Meet Our Staff

Rachel Gill

Coordinator

I’ve been an early ed coordinator since:
mid 2019.
My favourite thing about being an early ed coordinator is:
Developing exciting and engaging programs for children and watching as they interact with and explore the environments that are carefully set up to meet their natural instinct of play.
Something I like to tell all mums and dads is:
Play is the work of the child. The most important thing we can do for our children is give them opportunities to develop their independence, resilience, curiosity and compassion.
My favourite way to relax is:
Playing with and training my 9 parrots.

Amber Boyle

Coordinator

I have worked in Outside School Hours Care for:

11 years

My favourite thing about being an early ed care coordinator is:

The opportunities every day to make the lives of children and families better in many ways. It is really special to me building relationships over the course of many years as I watch children grow.

Something I like to tell all mums and dad is:

We are here to support not only their children, but also to support them as parents as their family grows.

My favourite way to relax is:

A nice coffee at brunch on the weekend.
