St Ignatius Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) is managed by Catholic Early EdCare. We are a fundamental part of the St Ignatius Catholic Parish, school and local community and located underneath the Parish, adjacent to the undercover play area at St Ignatius Primary School.
Our program supports working families by providing a safe environment before and after school that is designed to cater to their children’s age, skills, interests and abilities.
We run a flexible and adaptable child-initiated program incorporating children’s ideas, cultures and interests. We view each child as having preparedness, potential, curiosity and interest in constructing their own learning and in negotiating everything the environment presents to them. We provide guidance and support to children so they can discover, explore and create something new everyday.
Our centre strives to foster a culture that celebrates diversity and interdependence and we encourage children to value and respect each other.
St Ignatius OSHC advocates healthy living through the Active After School Care Program. This is a government funded sports program which allows all children enrolled to participate in diverse sporting activities each school term.
