Our Lady Help of Christians Outside School Hours Care

We provide a fun and safe environment for school aged children to enjoy their time before and after school, as well as during vacation care on school holidays and pupil free days. We provide a healthy breakfast, a snack for afternoon tea, and plan a variety of craft, art, games, gardening, sports and play experiences for children’s’ enjoyment and development. We are based in our own room near the prep playground, but also make use of other school facilities as required.

We work within the Australian Government’s “My Time, Our Place” National Quality Framework to meet the following five child outcomes:

1. Children have a strong sense of identity
2. Children are connected with and contribute to their world
3. Children have a strong sense of wellbeing
4. Children are confident and involved learners
5. Children are effective communicators

Our service is committed to continuous improvement, and we take a collaborative approach to this, with input from our children, parents, staff, Hendra Northgate Parish and the Our Lady Help of Christians Primary School community.

Our service is licensed to care for 45 children and is registered for the Child Care subsidy.
