Nathan Reed-Jensen
Coordinator
I have been an early ed coordinator since:
July 2019.
My favourite thing about being an early ed coordinator is:
Watching children grow and develop over the years. OSHC educators can be present for the entirety of a student’s primary schooling. 6 years! The preppies from when I started in the sector will be going to high school next year and that blows my mind every time I think about it. It is an honour, a privilege and why I could do this for the rest of my life.
Something I like to tell all mums and dads is:
Outside school hours care is such an amazing opportunity for families. It is a home away from home, a place to enjoy new experiences and a hangout spot to catch up with friends. A community-focused service with a passionate group of educators can create a dynamic program that supports a child’s social and emotional development that will easily complement their academic endeavours. I maintain that outside school hours care programs are beneficial for all children and families, not just working ones.
My favourite way to relax is:
Hanging out with my son. Sometimes he even allows me to choose what we do.
