Keeping children safe

Keeping children safe isn’t just a priority, it’s at the heart of everything we do.

We understand the deep trust families place in us and know that true safety takes a committed team and strong partnerships.

Our safety-first culture guides every choice we make and everything we do.

The right people in the right roles

We believe that safety is everyone’s responsibility. That’s why we’re committed to recruiting team members who genuinely share our values and always place children’s wellbeing at the centre of their work.

Do we perform thorough screening, reference checks and national police checks?

Absolutely we do! It’s all part of our rigorous recruitment process.

Starting strong from day one

Every new team member begins their journey with a strong focus on keeping children safe. Before their first shift and throughout their induction, they learn what high-quality care looks like and how to make child safety part of everyday practice.

Along the way, they’re supported by their managers and a dedicated team, including specialists in Safeguarding, Inclusion, and Practice Excellence, who are always there to guide and encourage them.

Safe, caring environments every day

Safety isn’t just a goal, it’s part of everything we do, every day. Our spaces are thoughtfully set up to keep children in sight, support open interactions, and help our team work together with trust and transparency.

To keep things safe, fun and focused on the children, our team leaves their personal devices outside the learning spaces. This helps us stay present, support spontaneous learning moments, and give our full attention to the engaging experiences we create each day.

Listening to every child

Children feel safe when they’re listened to. So we talk with children regularly about feelings, safety, and respectful relationships in ways that make sense to them.

If a child shares a concern, we respond quickly and kindly, making sure they feel safe and supported every step of the way.

Families are our partners in safety

We believe the best care happens when we work together with families. By staying in regular contact, whether it’s a quick chat at drop-off, a shared laugh, or updates about your child’s day, strong relationships between families and our team help children feel safe.
