Mater Dei Outside School Hours Care

Mater Dei Outside School Hours Care is a fully licensed and accredited facility, caring for school age children. The service is managed by Catholic Early EdCare on behalf of St John’s Wood/The Gap Catholic Parish.

Our program supports working families by providing a safe environment before and after school that is designed to cater to the children’s age, skills, interests and abilities.

We run a flexible and adaptable child-initiated program incorporating children’s ideas, cultures and interests. We view each child as having preparedness, potential, curiosity and interest in constructing their own learning and in negotiating everything the environment presents to them. We provide guidance and support to children so they can discover, explore and create something new everyday.

Our centre strives to foster an environment that celebrates diversity and interdependence. We encourage children to value and respect the individual uniqueness, spirituality and contribution of others.
