Kindergarten returns for 2020

Getting settled and making friends in the first few weeks of kindergarten.

  • 12 February 2020

Kindergarten has returned for 2020 and the children have hit the ground running with lots of excitement and a few tears.  In the first few weeks they have been busy forming new friendships, exploring their new surrounds and familiarising themselves with kindergarten routines.

The first few weeks are often overwhelming for children and parents but our teams have been focusing on making them feel comfortable in their new environment and adapt to the routines as quickly as possible.

As we approach the end of week three, many children have already developed great connections with their teachers and peers and are already becoming independent learners, taking risks in play and deciding with their teachers what they would like to explore and learn each day.

January, also marked the opening of the brand new St Ann’s Kindergarten + Outside School Hours Care at Redbank Plains.  St Ann’s has had an exciting few weeks welcoming children and families into the brand new centre, which has opened alongside St Ann’s Primary School.

Catholic Early EdCare operates a number of kindergarten programs across South East Queensland, for children in the year before prep. To find a kindergarten near you click here.
