Helping children to grow respectfully and socially
By developing an understanding of their own unique place in the community, and the world around them, children develop a sense of self, as well as respect for others, the community and the planet.
Term four will mark the opening of our brand new hub for St Joseph’s Kindergarten + Outside School Hours Care.
“It is very exciting to be moving into our new space and we see so many opportunities to create new and engaging learning experiences for the children,” said Amanda Cumming, St Joseph’s kindergarten teacher.
In the new hub we will continue to offer our Queensland Government approved kindergarten program, taught by a university qualified early childhood teacher.
“Over the next couple of weeks we hope to take the kindergarten children on excursions to our new space to familiarise them with the environment and get their thoughts on what they would like to learn and explore there in term four,” explained Amanda.
We will also be expanding our outside school hours care services, offering more places for before and after school care.
St Joseph’s Outside School Hours Care Coordinator, Lisa Nehring said, “Our new space will provide so many opportunities for the children to explore their interests, enjoy physical activity and challenge themselves during before and after school care.”
We are currently accepting applications for outside school hours care from term four and for the kindergarten program in 2021. To arrange a tour of the service or to find out more contact us here.
